Get ready, thrill-seekers — Phase II of the world’s most challenging via ferrata is about to open, and it’s set against the breathtaking backdrop of Qixing Mountain in Zhangjiajie, China.
The World’s Most Challenging Via Ferrata

Now the Zhangjiajie QixingMountain Via Ferrata is divided into Route 1 and Route 2.
Route 1 includes a via ferrata route, a steel cable bridge, a sky ladder, and a mountain traverse. The Bigwall of the via ferrata has a vertical height of 1,000 meters. The Sky Ladder section, with a total length of 168 meters, reaches a vertical altitude of 1,480 meters. The total length of the entire route is 1.2 kilometers, making it the highest in the world!
Route 2 is more challenging. It is situated at an altitude of 1,480 meters with a vertical drop of nearly 1,000 meters along the rock face. The total length of this route is 1.1 kilometers and includes a vertical climb up the cliff face, an 80-meter steel cable bridge, a 90-degree vertical sky ladder, and a mountain trail. It is not just a test of physical strength, but also a test of willpower!

This thrilling Via Ferrata experience at Zhangjiajie is about three hours and costs $115 per person, which includes the ticket for entering Qixing Mountain, cableway for going up and down the mountain and Via Ferrata Experience.
