Baoyuan Road features grand Xiguan mansions, Western-style buildings with a mix of Chinese and Western elements, and even row houses made from bamboo tubes. You'll also find vibrant examples of Roman columns, classical floral patterns, sliding dragon gates, and Manchu colored glass here.

The older generation in Guangzhou often says, "The wealthy live in Xiguan, and the powerful live in Dongshan," with Dongshan referring to the Dongshankou area.Here, you'll find over 400 small Western-style buildings with red walls and green tiles.
