Beijing 4-Day Classic Tour

Your personal local guide will be with you throughout the journey, handling all transportation logistics, entrance tickets, and arrangements so your family can focus entirely on enjoying the trip.

Day 0: Welcome to Beijing

Upon your arrival at Beijing (PEK or PKX), your private driver will greet you at the arrival hall holding a sign with your name. You'll be transferred comfortably to your downtown hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is free to acclimate. While there is no guide service today, our team is available by phone or message to assist with any questions.

Day 1: The Imperial Center & City Axis

Morning Pick-up: 09:00 AM. Your private guide and driver will meet you in the hotel lobby to begin your first full day of exploration.

Morning:

Tian'anmen Square: Arrive at the world's largest public square.

The Forbidden City (Palace Museum): Walk through the Tian'anmen Gate into the imperial palace, home to 24 emperors. Your guide will lead you on a curated route through key halls, skillfully avoiding the largest crowds and bringing the legends of the imperial court to life.

Afternoon:

Jingshan Park: Ascend the small hill just north of the palace for the single best panoramic view over the Forbidden City.

Shichahai: Proceed to the scenic Shichahai area, a beautiful district of lakes and traditional homes. Enjoy a leisure walk by the water, observing the local life and relaxing ambiance of old Beijing as the sun sets.

Day 2: National Treasures & Sacred Rituals

Morning Pick-up: 09:00 AM

Morning:

National Museum of China: Explore one of the world's largest and most comprehensive museums. Your guide will highlight essential ancient treasures, providing insight into 5,000 years of Chinese culture and art.

Afternoon:

The Temple of Heaven: Visit the sacred, UNESCO-listed altar complex where Ming and Qing emperors held solemn rituals to pray for good harvests. Marvel at the exquisite wooden architecture of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests.

Day 3: The Great Wall & Summer Retreat

Morning Pick-up: 07:30 AM (An early start is crucial to beat the main crowds at the Great Wall).

Morning:

The Mutianyu Great Wall: Journey to this celebrated section, renowned for its dense forest and beautifully restored watchtowers. Your guide will assist with purchasing tickets (cable car/chairlift are optional and extra) and allow you ample time to walk, climb, and soak in the magnificent scale of this ancient fortification.

Afternoon:

Return to the city to visit China's grandest royal garden. Walk the famous Long Corridor and enjoy a relaxing boat ride across Kunming Lake, taking in the peaceful water views just as royalty once did.

Day 4: Heritage Alleys & Olympic Nightscape

Morning Pick-up: 09:00 AM

Morning:

Lama Temple: Visit this active, vibrant Tibetan Buddhist monastery and marvel at the giant sandal-wood Buddha statue.

Guozijian & Temple of Confucius: Walk next door to the historic academy where imperial scholars once studied, surrounded by serene ancient trees.

Afternoon:

Wudaoying Hutong: Wander through the trendy, bohemian Wudaoying Hutong—a charming alleyway blending traditional grey-brick architecture with cozy cafes, artisan boutiques, and local street life.

Evening:

Bird's Nest & Water Cube (Night View): Head to the Olympic Park to witness the glowing nighttime illuminations of the iconic Bird's Nest (National Stadium) and Water Cube, capturing the vibrant energy of modern Beijing.

At the designated time, your driver will comfortably transfer you to the airport or train station for your onward journey.
