Wulong, located in Chongqing, China, is renowned for its dramatic karst formations, deep gorges, and lush greenery, making it a popular destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers. In this tour, we will visit Three Natural Bridges and Difeng Garden. Three Natural Bridges is a spectacular group of three massive natural stone bridges that span the stunning landscapes, offering breathtaking views and excellent hiking opportunities. Difeng Garden is a typical karst landscape formed by tectonic movements millions of years ago, with depths ranging from 200 to 500 meters. The crevice consists of three sections: the entrance crevice, the mid-way tunnel, and the exit gorge, with sheer cliffs on both sides and steep, rugged rock walls.
Itinerary
8:00 AM-10:30AM: Pick up from your hotel in Chongqing and depart for Wulong.
10:30 AM-12:30 PM: Visit Difeng Garden
Take the sightseeing elevator from the entrance down to the bottom of the Difeng Garden and walk along the boardwalk for approximately 2 kilometers. The main attractions include the Milky Way Waterfall, Dragon's Cold Cave, Carp Pool, and the Light of the Sky:
Milky Way Waterfall: The waterfall cascades down from a great height, creating a magnificent spectacle.
Dragon's Cold Cave: This underground river and the wonder of stalactites create a mesmerizing underground world.
Light of the Sky: A narrow canyon allows a beam of sunlight to shine through, producing stunning light and shadow effects.
12:30 PM-14:00 PM: Leave Difeng Garden and head to a farmhouse restaurant for lunch.
14:00 PM-16:30 PM: Visit Three Natural Bridges
The Three Natural Bridges are a typical karst landform and a rare geological wonder tourism area. They served as filming locations for the movies Curse of the Golden Flower and Transformers: Age of Extinction. The Three Natural Bridges consist of three natural stone arch bridges: Tianlong Bridge, Qinglong Bridge, and Heilong Bridge. These bridges span over the Yangshui River Gorge, with spans and heights exceeding 100 meters above the gorge floor. The three stone bridges connect the mountain ridges on either side of the gorge, creating a unique landscape known as "two bridges flanking two pits," with the pits between the bridges also referred to as sinkholes.
